Diana's Story

My very best friend Diana lost her husband of twenty-five years to cancer. Diana and Paul had been inseparable, and they were my role model for a loving, romantic married couple. They had a tremendous impact on everyone that they met, and had even been told by the minister at their wedding ceremony, “Your marriage is your mission.”

Paul's death was a loss of profound depth, and many of us wondered how Diana could survive it. They had been so close, so in love, so beautiful. As Paul was undergoing chemotherapy and had only a few months to live, he told Diana that he didn't want her to be alone.

send me someone“Then send me someone.” She said quietly.

“I will,” he replied.

The full story of Diana and Paul's relationship, and the way he fulfilled his promise, is the subject of Diana's new book Send Me Someone. She has spent the past ten years creating the story of their love as an offering to the world. The book has been published to rave reviews and is available in hardcover at bookstores and Amazon.com, and will be published in softcover in September 2002.
